Thank you St Peter's Catholic Primary for our lovely testimonial. We are looking forward to working with you and the children.

"We were happy to welcome Lisa into St Peter’s to work with our children during our Health & Wellbeing Week.

The children loved the Yoga workshops and were inspired by Lisa, learning the art of Yoga, promoting calm and rested bodies and minds during a busy day.

We will definitely be working with Graceful Minds Yoga in the very near future!"

The draft education inspection framework has been published from Ofsted. This is still under consultation however there are positive changes to support children's mental health and wellbeing.

'Personal Development 'is now a separate judgement category.

Inspectors will make a judgement on the personal development of learners by evaluating the extent to which:

The curriculum and the provider’s wider work support learners to develop their character – including their resilience, confidence and independence – and help them know how to keep physically and mentally healthy.

Yoga supports postive mental health in children. When children learn to accept and love themselves for who they are, to see the good in others, to focus and calm their minds, and to be aware of their innate capabilities, they learn tools for resilience. Yoga grows their confidence both physically and mentally as they become more self-aware of their bodies and minds. Yoga keeps children physically health too and promotes a health body through its yoga poses. They build strength in the muscles and joints, improve flexibility, coordination and balance.

Graceful Minds Children's Yoga believe that all Schools should teach yoga and mindfulness as part of the curriculum. An example of this would be a PE or PSHE lesson.

We are really happy with the planned changes from Ofsted and we will be watching this consultation with great interest! 🙏
