Our final yoga after school club for the week at St Peter's Catholic Primary in Woolston teaching 11 children.

The School has a beautiful 'School Creed' in the hall where we teach on the wall. The words link so perfectly with yoga. To live life with an open heart, to love, be grateful, be kind, be happy, be peaceful and love life ❀ We read the creed together as a positive mantra πŸ₯°

Our theme was 'Autumn' πŸπŸ‚πŸƒ

We practiced 'leaf blowing' for our breath control work seeing who could blow their leaf into the middle of the room.

We asked the children to name animals and nature that they associate with Autumn. We practiced yoga poses being squirrels 🐿 foxes 🦊 deers 🦌 hedgehogs πŸ¦” badgers 🦑 owls πŸ¦‰ trees 🌳 leaves πŸπŸ‚ acorns and conkers.
The children created lots of their own yoga poses which was wonderful to witness.

Our 'mindfulness' activity involved lots of leaves, acorns and conkers and we asked the children to create an Autumn picture or anything they wished.

Please see some of their beautiful creations attached πŸ₯°

Yoga addresses key areas of the new Ofsted Framework and increases activity in children.

Please contact us directly to incorporate yoga at your School.

The Old Vicarage Day Nursery

Lovely feedback from The Old Vicarage Day Nursery thank you πŸ™

This week we did a 'Super Heroes' yoga class to link with our reading topic in Pre School βοΈπŸ’

We pretended to be The Hulk whilst practicing breath control work saying "Hulk smash!" 😁

Our positive affirmation "I am brave, I am strong, I am a super hero" πŸ’₯

We practiced lots of yoga poses being different Super Heroes including Spider Man, Wonder Woman, Bat Man, Bat Girl, Super Man, Super Girl and Thor.
We had lots of fun as always πŸ‘§πŸΌπŸ§’πŸ»

We also read the Supertato story which made us all laugh πŸ“š

After being Super Hero's and using all of our super powers we all needed a rest at calm time under blankets with yoga teddies 🐻

Yoga addresses the 3 Prime Areas of Learing and Development and its associated ELGs. Plus we are increasing children's activity levels βœ…

Thank you to Graceful Minds Childrens Yoga, amazing as always πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ
