🌈NEW PRESCHOOL NEWS🌈

We are delighted to be working with St Philip's Preschool, Westbrook, Warrington providing 2x yoga classes per week to the children for the next 5 weeks. Supporting their physical and mental wellbeing.

We continued with our World Kindness Day theme.

We started our class with our warm up and Sun Dance.

We practiced a breath control work by blowing a kiss to somebody or something we loved several times.

We then passed around a cuddly toy rabbit for the children to hug and say "I am kind" then passing it onto the next child ❤

Our yoga story to fit our loving kindness theme was 'Guess How Much I Love You' 🐰🐇 and the children enjoyed practicing yoga poses to the story.

At the end of our story Little Nut Brown Hare settles down into the leaves to rest with a kiss from Big Nut Brown Hare. The children lay on their mats which took us into the relaxation part of our class. We had calm time, time to pause under blankets cuddling our yoga teddies 🐻

Yoga addresses the 3 Prime Areas of Learning and Development and its associated ELGs.

#Worldkindnessday

Namaste 🙏

It was our 2nd week at St Augustine's Catholic Primary School for our Yoga after school club. Our numbers had increased which was really positive ✅

Our theme was Anti Bullying Week and World Kindness Day.

We started our class with our sun salutations to warm up and get our blood flowing around our bodies.

We then moved onto our positive mantra "Kindness begins within me" and we worked with our 4 fingers touching our thumb with every word said. The connection brings positive effects on the body and mind.

We had a discussion and activity around kindness and bullying where the children wrote down answers to questions that we all shared with the group.

For the main part of our yoga we practiced heart opening yoga poses which included a Warrior sequence and flow, goddess pose, camel pose, sphinx pose, locust pose, bow pose ending in child pose preparing us for relaxation.

We ended our class under blankets during relaxation listening to a Loving Kindness Meditation ❤

A lovely class teaching the children the importance of kindness through yoga. With love and kindness comes self-compassion, self-esteem, and a deep sense of emotional strength that balances our thoughts and actions.

To incorporate yoga into your School setting please contact us directly.

Namaste 🙏

It's Anti Bullying Week this week and World Kindness Day tomorrow 13th November and we felt these topics went hand in hand together for the theme of our yoga classes.

Kindness begins from within, from our minds and hearts, if we are kind to ourselves then we can share that kindness with others. Kindness comes in so many forms, big and small and the World would be a much better place if we treated everyone with kindness.

Dalai Lama quoted "The more you nurture a feeling of kindness, the happier and calmer you will be".

"Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible".

Bullying is not acceptable at any level to anyone. Child or Adult.

Anti bullying week is aimed at sending that clear and positive message. Plus to understand the consequences and impact of bullying.

Whether it is verbal, physical, online or in-person, bullying has a significant impact on a child’s life well in to adulthood.

Well done to the Anti-Bullying Alliance, with support from 02 for launching their #Changestartswithus report outlining young people's recommendations for change.

Bullying is still an issue that needs to be addressed.

BE KIND 🙏❤
