We have been teaching yoga at 4x Pre School settings this week with over 60 children.

Little Learners Old Hall and Callands sites Lynton Private Day Nursery and The Old Vicarage Day Nursery

There is a huge awareness campaign about mental wellbeing and early intervention is vital. Teaching children life skill tools will help to prevent later breakdowns in mental health. Yoga is a wellbeing tool that is scientifically proven to improve wellbeing βœ…

Our theme this week was 'Autumn' and our yoga story was 'Leaf Man' πŸ‚πŸƒ which is a beautifully illustrated book. The children practiced yoga poses throughout the story.

We practiced leaf blowing 🍁 for our breath control work and our positive affirmation
"I am strong like a tree"

We sang a lovely Autum song before resting down for calm time under blankets with pur yoga teddies.

We see so many improvements each week with the children and individuals and it's the best reward ❀

Well done my little yogis 🌈

World Mental Health Day teaching yoga to 75 children at The Old Vicarage Day Nursery and St Bridget's Catholic Primary School, Warrington Year 5 and Year 6 students.

We wore yellow today to show our support #HelloYellow YoungMinds and so did all the children at The Old Vicarage πŸ’› We did a lovely yoga story called "Leaf Man" for the Autumn Season πŸƒπŸ‚πŸ

We had 2 great sessions at St Bridget's asking the children if they knew what we meant by physical health? The same for mental health? Making them aware that the two are connected and how important it is to look after them both.

We practiced breath control work, relaxing yoga poses and a meditation to bring peace and calm to the mind.

Yoga increases physical activity and improves our mental wellbeing.
