A very rewarding yoga session today at Lynton Private Day Nursery with the Pre School children.

This was our 5th class with them and those that have normally sat back and watched all joined in today. It's the best reward when this happens ❀ and the Staff were all really happy too.

It's not all about the yoga with this age group they are developing so many more life skills that are just as important. Good listening, paying attention, keeping still and quiet, taking off shoes and putting them back on, acceptance, standing in a lovely line to receive a yoga stamp, putting equipment back and using good manners.

These are the things we also see improving week by week πŸ‘ and today was a great example of this πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈπŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ

The Staff informed us that the children always ask if it's yoga today. Feedback like this makes our heart smile...we are doing a good job πŸ™

Yoga addresses the 3 Prime Areas of Learning and Development and their associated ELGs.

Please contact us if you would like to incorporate yoga at your School setting.

Our theme this week at Penketh Community Primary School Friends Of Penketh Primary and St Peter's Catholic Primary for our yoga clubs was 'Emotions'.

We discussed the different types of emotions that we feel, positive and negative and how we cannot always detect from the outside how a person is feeling. We talked about the ways we can look after our physical and mental wellbeing.

We practiced Partner yoga poses and the children in their pairs chose a pose that described an emotion. For example happy, sad, angry etc.

We ended our practice with a meditation and relaxation with blankets and eye pillows 😴

We have loved supporting World Mental Health Day by teaching yoga to children and young people all week πŸ’›πŸ’š

If you would like to incorporate yoga at your school setting please contact us directly.

Week 3 of our 'Be Calm Club' at St Monica's Catholic Primary School this week.

The School run this club over the lunch time period which allows those children who need it time to reset and connect back with themselves. Preparing them for the afternoon and day ahead βœ…

When we are calm we can deal with life so differently. Our patience improves, we become a kinder person, we open our hearts, we gain clarity, we can concentrate and focus and we are less angry, anxious and stressed.

All this can be achieved by giving ourselves time to stop and 'Be Calm'. Self care ❀

If you would like to incorporate a 'Be Calm' session at your School or Workplace please contact us directly.
