We have loved providing yoga to Friends Of Penketh Primary Penketh Primary School in Warrington this term. Supporting the physical health and wellbeing of their Students.

It was our final yoga after school club this week and the children enjoyed something different and fun with our Yoga Circuit. Lots of different mindful and calming yoga stations to choose from and a guided meditation to finish and send them all home completely relaxed and calm.

We were very touched and grateful to receive flowers, crafts and a card from the children saying thank you. Sharing how much they love yoga and how it has helped them. Lots of hugs were given to eachother 🤗

Good luck to those moving onto High School, grow, flourish and shine bright. You are enough.

Have a relaxing Summer break 🌞

We look forward to working with the Academy again in the Autumn Term 🙏

Another new Pre School customer this week Little Learners Callands, Warrington.

The 23 children were introduced to yoga in a fun and engaging way through song, music and story. Ending with a relaxation to calm their little bodies and minds.

They all did amazingly well for their first time experiencing yoga and we look forward to working with you all again soon.

Yoga is an effective early intervention discipline to improve the health and wellbeing of children 🙏

It was our final yoga club before the end of term at St Peter's Catholic Primary and we had lots of fun with our Yoga Circuit.

The KS2 children spent 5 minutes on 8 different yoga stations undertaking the activity on each one. They included mindful colouring, creating gratitude sticks, decorating a butterfly or heart, calming breathing, balance poses, meditation, reading and our yoga dice.

It's been a pleasure teaching this lovely group of children who always engage with our classes and benefit from the life skills we are sharing and teaching them.

Have a lovely Summer break and we look forward to working with you again in the Autumn Term for our yoga after school club 👍

Yoga connects the body and mind and improves Physical health and mental health 🙏

ℹHOW DOES YOGA ADDRESS THE 3 PRIME AREAS OF LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE EYFS FRAMEWORK AND THEIR ASSOCIATED ELGs?

Yoga addresses the 3 Prime Areas of Learning and Development of the EYFS Framework and their associated ELGs.

1. Communication & Language

✅Yoga develops a child’s listening and speaking skills and builds confidence in self-expression.

2. Physical Development

✅Yoga is a physical activity that is beneficial for both the body and mind. A child will learn about their body, how it moves and develop their co-ordination, balance, strength, flexibility and control. They will learn the importance of a healthy body and happy mind.

3. Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED)

✅Yoga boosts self-confidence, self-awareness and social skills. By practising calming breathing techniques and relaxation a child will learn how to manage feelings and to have calm time. They also learn how to respect themselves and others around them and manage their feelings and behaviour.

During our 30-minute yoga sessions we also teach phonics, literacy and mathematics as we use stories, books, songs, music, themes and props with the children.
Through yoga we provide fun and creative ways to engage children.

By incorporating yoga this is an effective way to spend Early Years funding streams, for example, Early Years Pupil Premium Funding to support your 3 and 4 year old pupils.

Yoga is an effective early intervention tool to support the physical health and mental health of all children.

Please contact us if you would like to incorporate yoga into your Pre School or Reception Setting 🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️

Namaste 🙏
