A student at my Adult Yoga Class gave me a beautiful unexpected gift today. She is my Cousin and I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful family around me. I wanted to share as I love it and the words means so much to me.

"I am enough" ❤

Words we all need to say to ourselves every single day. We can all be so self critical, putting ourselves down, never good enough, guilty, comparing, the list goes on and on. STOP saying negative things. Focus on being positive, kind, grateful and the best version of yourself.

Accept who you are and your life. Let go of negativity in your life.

You are enough and you are doing a great job 🙏

🌈🧘‍♂️NEW CUSTOMER ALERT🧘‍♀️🌈

We are delighted to announce we are providing a yoga extra curricular club each Friday for the next 9 weeks at St Monica's Catholic Primary School for KS2 students. Both the School and Parents were extremely positive about incorporating yoga to support the children's wellbeing 🥰

Our theme was ⛩ 🇨🇳Chinese New Year🇨🇳 ⛩

We started our practice with our gratitude ball and each child either said theirs outloud or in their minds passing the ball to the next person. It's heart warming to hear the children saying their family and friends ❤

We moved onto the main theme of our class Chinese New Year and explained that it's celebrated on 25th January and this year is the year of the rat 🐀 We read the group the ancient story of Emperor Jade and the 12 animals crossing the river. The animal who won the race had the year named after them. We practiced a yoga pose for each of the 12 animals and moved around our mats. Even creating a human dragon 🐲🐉 and practicing our lion breath for our Tiger 🐅 Our last pose was the boat pose on the river 🛥🌊

We ended our practice with a guided relaxation titled 'Boat' under blankets to bring peace and calm to the body and mind.

A fun yoga class teaching the children about other traditions from around the world.

Wellbeing should be at the heart of every School. Yoga is a wellbeing science and art form that improves both physical and mental health.

If your school would like to incorporate yoga as a wellbeing initiative please contact us.

We are a LiveWire Business Partner.

Namaste 🙏

Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: The 8 Limbs of Yoga Explained

During my adult yoga training we have learnt about the 8 limbs of yoga. Ashtanga Yoga.

Patanjali (who was a great Sage and called the Father of Yoga) explained the way to control the mind and master the self is to live by these 8 steps.

This is a great explanation of the steps 🙏

The 8 limbs of Yoga described in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali are the most enduring part of this classic work of philosophy. While delving into their original context, we explain why the 8 Limbs are still relevant to contemporary Yoga practice and modern life. ... See more
